Choosing and positioning a dart mat
Check the space for the mat
This mat is 300 cm long and 60 cm wide. Measure the area where you want to place it, allowing for your stance and walking space around it. The mat’s dimensions tell you how much floor it covers, not how much free space your whole dart corner needs.
Aligning the throw line with your dartboard
The mat has marked throw lines at 2.28, 2.37 and 2.44 metres and a centre line. For steel tip darts, use the 2.37 metre line. When laying the mat down, check the horizontal distance from the front of the playing surface to the throw line and adjust its position accordingly.
Material and everyday use
The mat has a nylon surface and non-slip rubber backing and can be rolled up. It covers part of the floor in your throwing area. Make sure it lies flat and check that the throw line is still in the right place before playing.
